Soreness from desk jockey posture defeated at The Balanced Spine NUCCA
My experience was very positive. Dr. Schallmann explained to me the process for the treatment and made sure my questions were answered. I could see the improvement week-to-week as I went through the treatment.
My posture has improved and I feel less muscle soreness and fatigue. My spine feels more balanced and stable. I have found improvement in other areas of my health as well. -Alex S.
Prior to The Balanced Spine I had just moved to the area. I was looking for a new chiropractor. I was intrigued by the philosophy and that each adjustment was not the same as the last.
My experience has been wonderful. The locking-up feeling that was experiencing at the top of my neck (a primary complaint), has all but gone away.
The Balanced Spine has helped me re-focus on the things I already knew to be appropriate for my health and wellness.

Neck stiffness subdued, migraines now miniscule
Prior to The Balanced Spine I had hip pain. The pain made it hard to work. Job requires I stand on my feet. Also, the pain restricted my range of motion in my karate and yoga practice.
It has been a good experience (at the Balanced Spine). Skeptical at first, because I was accustomed to the traditional chiropractic adjustment. Dr. is very personable.
Now, hip pain is almost gone. Feels better at work and in my karate practice and yoga practice. – Shannon Mc
I used to have up to 10 migraines a month. Since coming to the Balanced spine I feel relaxed and believe that the team is genuinely interested in reducing my pain. The frequency of headaches have reduced. –Minal M.

Scoliosis should not mean surgery - explore NUCCA
“Trust is a big issue for me; especially when it comes to getting treatment. Not just for myself, but for my children as well.
My youngest daughter has scoliosis. She wore a back brace for almost 10 months. Unfortunately, the brace wasn’t helping because the curves in her shoulder and lower back were getting worse. Surgery was looking almost like a reality. I decided to take my daughter to visit Dr. Fryer to see if he could help her. Sure enough, he said, “Yes”. To ease my daughter’s concerns she watched Dr. Fryer work on my neck. She decided to go ahead with the treatment.
It has been well over a month and I am noticing big changes in how my daughter lives her life. No more back brace! A whole lot less back pain. Curves are now down to a minimal to where surgery is not needed. Also, her confidence level has risen due to being able to move with ease, (especially touching her toes without bending her knees for the first time – that was huge!). Today, my daughter is exercising and eating healthier because she realizes that her dream of becoming a professional soccer player can come true.” –Patricia B. about her daughter

Don't just supress your migraine, stop it!
http://www.thebalancedspine.com Chronicled within is a story about a patient who suffered from migraines. Medicine sometimes worked…but he questioned whether there was something to prevent these migraines. What caused his migraines? Bad posture? Wrong exercise?
During his excruciating migraine episodes he would experience light sensitivity, it was hard to do work, he just wanted to lie down and shut eyes. Migraine sufferers often find that their life comes to a screeching halt when afflicted with an episode.
Desk-job delivers knock-out punch to this patient's spine
http://www.thebalancedspine.com Chronicled in this video is a story about a patient who suffered impact injuries from snowboarding, skateboarding and car accidents. After such intense impacts, his body recovered only superficially, but structurally he experienced lasting damage. It was when he got a new job which introduced a sustained sitting posture that he exacerbated his injuries, causing him migraines and upper back pain.
It is unnatural (for humans) to sit for prolonged amounts of time, and a desk-job can actually be far more damaging to the body than a snowboard accident! This new sedentary lifestyle after experiencing his impact injuries, brought to the surface MIGRAINES and UPPER BACK PAIN in this patient.
